Andre is the CEO and co-founder of ClearCompany. Prior to ClearCompany, Andre was Global Managing Director at Thomson Reuters, where he ran a 1Bn global business across 90 countries. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Andre was responsible for product development and operations at CCBN, a company he helped grow from a small start-up to number 36 on the INC 500.
Andre is an expert at product innovation. He has filed nearly ten patents in the knowledge and information industry and is an avid speaker and contributor to many of the nation’s largest publications with a focus on talent innovation.
Andre graduated from Boston College with concentrations in computer science and communications and is a member of YPO, (Young Presidents’ Organization). He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two boys.
Colin is the President and co-founder of ClearCompany. Prior to joining HRMDirect, Colin served as CTO for empolis North America, a division of Bertelsmann AG, where he helped direct the development of the empolis Knowledge Management Suite, one of the world’s first commercially-deployed applications based on Semantic Web technologies.
Colin is an expert in knowledge automation, and designed custom knowledge solutions for some of the largest companies in the world including Northrop Grumman, Boeing, General Electric, and the US intelligence community.
Colin is a graduate of Tufts University with a B.A. in Economics, and holds a certificate in Mandarin from the College of Foreign Languages, Beijing. He is also an Alaska-trained seaplane pilot, and writes for several Boston-area publications.
Django is the Chief Technology Officer of ClearCompany. Prior to joining ClearCompany, Django was the founder and CTO of HireAbility where he created innovative CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Applicant Tracking software for companies with a worldwide presence. He also created a distributed grid computing solution that allowed the largest job boards in the world to process millions of resumes per hour.
Since 1995 Django has been creating solutions for complex software and hardware problems, from wireless webcasts on mountain tops to designing and building high volume software packages for Fortune 500 companies. In the early days of the web, he designed and rolled out some of the earliest large-scale database driven auction and real-estate websites.
Django graduated from Clarkson University with degrees in Computer Science Engineering, Computer Science and Business. Django believes technology can be understood by anyone and enjoys translating the world of technology into terms that anyone can grasp.
With nearly a decade of client service experience, Director of Client Service Sylvie Woolf has a passion for building strong client relationships. She strategizes with clients to build customized and highly valuable solutions to their business needs.
Prior to joining ClearCompany, Sylvie was a consultant for Cspace, a division of Omnicom, where she advised brands such as Procter & Gamble, Pfizer and Campbell’s. Sylvie also has experience consulting for British Petroleum.
Sylvie graduated magna cum laude from University of California at Santa Barbara with concentrations in English and History. She lives in San Francisco with her husband.
As the head of Marketing at ClearCompany, Sara drives the strategic direction for all inbound and outbound marketing activities.
Sara started at ClearCompany in 2013 as Relationship Manager. After a year of learning the ins and outs of the ClearCompany product and customer, she moved on to the Marketing deparmtment where she leverages her product and customer knowledge. Prior to coming on board with ClearCompany, Sara was a Market Research Consultant with Cspace, a division of Omnicom. While there, she specialized in the Financial Services and Healthcare verticals, advising on advertising campaigns and product launches for organizations such as Wells Fargo and Chase.
Sara holds a B.A. in Strategic Communications from Elon University, along with an M.A, in Global Marketing Communication and Advertising from Emerson College.
Brian is SVP and Chief Revenue Officer of ClearCompany. Prior to ClearCompany, Brian was Vice President of Sales for NASDAQ’s Multimedia Solutions business where he led teams across Toronto, San Francisco, Denver, New York, and Boston.
Prior to NASDAQ, Brian served in many Sales Management, Marketing and Account Management leadership roles during his 10 years at Thomson Reuters. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Brian led the securities valuation operation at Fidelity Investments during a transformational period of rapid expansion.
Brian graduated from Seton Hall University with a BS in Finance. He lives just outside of Boston with his wife and three children.
Originally founded in 2004 as HRM Direct, ClearCompany was built as one of the first 100% Software-as-a-Service Talent Management systems providing social recruiting, onboarding, and performance management systems to around 500 companies in nearly every industry.

HRM was self-funded and remains entirely owned by its founders and employees, has no external debt, and grew over 60% in 2013.
In 2013, Andre Lavoie joined as CEO after ten years of collaboration with HRM co-founder Colin Kingsbury. Andre first met Colin while working together at CCBN, one of the world’s first enterprise SaaS companies, and became the principal investor in HRM when Colin brought the original idea to him for feedback.
Andre would remain with CCBN as it was acquired by Thomson Financial and later Reuters to become one of the largest information businesses in the world, with Andre eventually serving as Global Managing Director running a business with annual US revenue in excess of $1 billion.
While Colin pursued his vision of building the best talent management system for small- and mid-market companies, Andre regularly detailed his challenges in managing a team in the thousands spread over 90 countries. ClearCompany’s proprietary goals platform began as an answer to the question, “How do we build a performance management system that enables even the largest companies to manage performance in real-time?”
By 2012, HRM’s core mid-market business was growing at an accelerating pace. As the promise of this new platform — to solve some of the hardest talent management challenges large companies face — was becoming clear, Andre joined the company full time as CEO and co-founder.
